Introduction
Creating a dream job description entails highlighting all the possible features that one would like their job to meet. Inclusively, the location of the office one would like to work should be given an upper hand. Other factors like, the distance between your office of work and your place of residence is an issue worth consideration. An inquiry into the schedule for the job is critical. At first, considering the limits of the time you will be willing to spend in the office is critical on an equal measure. The weekly working hours are pertinent. A specification of the same would give a person ample opportunity to plan other activities outside the scope of their employment. As a matter of concern, wok environment is equally important. A determinate working environment would boost an employee’s working morale.
Environment, in this regard, includes cultural surrounding of your dream job. Strictness in management is another issue that should be taken into consideration before choosing a career. Some professions require strict surveillance all the time. On the other hand, other professions don’t require close monitoring and the working environment in this case is more playful. Skills that a person would love to employ in their job, on a day to day basis is equally pertinent. People are intellectually endowed with a multiplicity of talents and skills. A group of person s would prefer to a job that mostly requires oratory skills, while other people would love to engage in a job that has little to do with narration. Again, job function is equally fundamental. Many ‘anti social’ people would love to work in isolation. They would love to have a desk of their own where interaction with other workmates is greatly minimized. Ultimately salary payment is critical. The ultimate goal of working, for most people, is earning of income. An evaluation of income requirement is primary in this context. Evaluating the importance of a salary to you should come first.
Dream Job Descriptions
My dream is to become a structural engineer. In my entire life, I have enjoyed building structures and simple machines. I choose to be an engineer because I feel this would let me express my love for engineering and use my innovative skills to better the quality of life in the society in entirety. I have described my dream job in the paragraphs that follow. I would like to work in a major city. As opposed to a rural setting, I would love my workplace to be based in a vast town. I usually believe in exposure as the sole opener to modernization. Since childhood, I have spent a substantial part of my time in urban areas. A shift to a rural setting will negatively impact on my work performance, I believe. By extension, an urban setting has a lot o access of modern facilitate that can be of help to my work. Access to a better transport system is associated with urban life. In my life, I haven’t spent a single second thinking about trekking even cycling to my place of work. Most of the time rural areas are associated with poor transport network. The idea of an environment that is dominated with muddy roads really scares me to the bone. More often than not, I love to operate a business entity. Therefore, I feel that population is much needed for the sake of my business. As stated above, my home I located within the city. Working from my home would reduce my monthly expenses.
I have always wished to get a job that doesn’t require strictness in the number of working hours or even a fixed working hour schedule. If at all a schedule would be installed in place, then I would love that schedule to run from 9 am to 3 pm. That would be convenient on my side. A remaining part of my time would be devoted to out of work projects. Roughly I would love to work for thirty hours in a week. In as much as this would sound absurd, convenience on my side should equally get attention.
I love to embrace cultural diversity. Working in an organization, for example, with a multiplicity of races will be my joy. I love to learn new ideas each time, specifically from my workmate. I love to socialize. Therefore, in my work site population is equally considerate. I would hate to work in a place managed with a lot of strictness. I have always stood against strict surveillance. I have always desired a job that I would take my workmates to a worksite. I love teamwork. In all my schooling, I have preferred to work in groups. I strongly believe that mingling with people of different talents and abilities improves one’s quality of life because we get to learn what we haven’t learnt over the past. Working in a very quiet environment would directly be contrary to my dream job specifications. To me, I would love a job that is not such professional. Wearing helmets and overall coats and sometimes freestyle dressing code would be my pleasure.
I have always loved handwork and to be precise, artistry. I like to make structures. Not just making structures alone, accurate structures indeed. I love manual work in general. Since my childhood I have always fixed a number of things in my home. To start with, at the age of ten, I constructed manually operated water designed to draw water from our well. Similarly, I constructed a cart for our bulldog. It was such a nice cart designed with intense accuracy and design. The list goes on. People consider an ox drawn plough a very complex machine or tool to construct. We haven’t bought one in our home. I have always made magnificent plows for tillage. Again, our bulldog resides in a well-built kennel. I made it myself. A cattle shade that is in our compound is a product of my skills. Mathematics has been my stronghold at both my elementary school and high school level. I have kept a remarkable record in mathematical calculations. I know I can make a good structural engineer.
Generally speaking, the ultimate reason why many people work is to earn a living. Deriving benefits from your salary is the award of your labor provided. I strongly insist that payment is directly proportional to the quality of the work done, or at least to the extent of the application of skill.
Compensation and benefits package
As stated elsewhere in this article, a person expects derivation o benefits from the work he does. The benefits so derived can be in the form of a salary or wages as a matter of fact. Employee compensation would refer to all forms of payment arising from employment CITATION Bal90 \l 1033 (Balin, David, & Luis, 1990). All forms payment, according to this definition, strictly refers to the financial derivatives. The definition excludes all non- financial gains. On the other hand, benefits refer to the non-monetary offered in addition to the salary earned. Notably, employees receive benefits by the virtue of them being employees in an individual firm. A benefits package would include buying gifts for your employees, taking them to a retreat and also granting them an opportunity to attend workshops and seminars. A well- designed compensation and benefits package can lead to motivation among employees, discouraged absenteeism, and ultimately low turnover.
