Setting
The setting of the story is on the shows of a creek. The setting is important as it has features of a beach with no shelter and a good ground view where one can easily view the sky and the stars. The main character is identified to visit the place frequently; she is bored and wants to view his favorite star.
Characters
There are three characters in the story.
The protagonist in the story is Freezi. She is very important in the story and acts as the story's main character. She is identified as very calm and very lonely. In her life, she lives by going to the creek to view the sky. (Porteous & Lindsay, 2019).
The imagery where she asks for carrots from the star shows that she has no food because of her economic status. She has favor from nature. The star she named Carrot is very loving to her despite only doing it in actions.
The antagonist, in this case, is the rabbit. Every time the star would send or drop down a carrot from the sky, the rabbit would always eat to grab it. However, this wasn’t possible as the star sent a protective measure on the carrots; the rabbit could not eat them.
The catalyst, in this case, is the Carrot. He makes most of the conflicts in the story either positively or negatively. Carrot (star) is a good friend to Freezi. The Carrot is a star that Freezi has named. It is very understanding and shows various aspects of humanity to her friend Freezi.
The Situation
The story is fictional as it is based on various personification features. The number of items that have been personified includes the star, rabbit, and a teddy bear. The situation at hand is that Freezi is trying to gain more knowledge about nature and how she can easily interact with them.
The story highlights how the communication between the star and Freezi is very smooth (Bar-Tal et al., 2014). They cannot communicate verbally, but Freezi still enjoys the star's company, which is miles away from the sky. The star is identified to have various good characteristics but cannot speak verbally to Freezi the way she anticipates everything to be.
