Many have studied this course after clearing high school and pursued it as a career generating income either from employment or self-employment (D’Attoma & Leva, 2022). The question whether it should be taught in the last two years in high school remains debatable as most scholars believe that marketing as a professional career that should be taught in early stages of high school education. Personally, I strongly disagree with the idea of teaching this course in the early stages of high school as this should be perceived as a career personal preference. Not everyone who joins high school has the calling to join the marketing profession. Marketing and management mostly cover the business faculties, people in other professions may primarily offer their services without using marketing mechanisms. ’We have people who live on their talents playing games, others involve themselves in sporting activities, introducing marketing to such people would completely be null and void. Let the decision be made by an individual after carefully choosing the career path they would wish to pursue in life (Bual, 2024, p 322).
