Ethics also referred to as moral philosophy, is a branch of philosophy that deals with what is of right and of wrong conduct. There are different approaches to ethics such as Christian approach, consequential, command, character, and other many approaches. Ethics tell what is right and worth to do and what is wrong. In this paper, will look at different approaches of ethical, then discuss the most appealing ethical approach to me at the moment. I will also study the strengths and weaknesses of this ethical approach. Ethics are important as they are the principles of decent human conduct and acceptable behavior in the society.
Consequential approach of ethics deal with one being cautious of the result of an action. The course of action is influenced by the outcomes Jeans (2017). The outcomes should be good, acceptable, and helpful. It is appealing to use this method as it helps one know what is right and what is wrong by thinking critically and being observant to know the consequences of an action.
This line of attack in ethics makes one to be rational in all the choices that one makes Barret (2016). It also makes one subsume morals in all the deeds without compromising a moral behavior in any instance. Principles and integrity comes with one having consequentialism. It is crucial for one to be rational and always be careful and not only just do things blindly but also be caution on the end results.
