Shakespeare’s World
By reading Chapter 8, that covers the World of Shakespeare, some things I never knew about him are revealed. One of these new things is that Shakespeare’s father had plenty of jobs at some point he was paid to drink beer. Secondly, it is revealed that Shakespeare had married an older woman than himself who at the time was three months pregnant. Additionally, his parents and children were probably illiterate. Finally, no one can account for what Shakespeare did as from 1585 to 1592. He disappears from records after his Twin’s baptism to 1952 when he was denounced by the playwright Robert Greene in a pamphlet.
Time and culture that Shakespeare wrote and lived affected his life and his produced and written plays. He was influenced by the world he lived in as portrayed by his descriptions of the sounds and sight of London in his computed essays. Shakespeare was white, and Anglo that forms a basis for some people to believe that his works represent some aspect of the colonial takeover of Western values and cultures.
Currently, Shakespeare is known as the most popular English writer also referred to as England’s poet. He had many theatrical works performed compared to any other playwright. Since then, unending theater festivals globally honor Shakespeare’s work. Scholars particularly students since then have been memorizing his eloquent poems and try re-interpreting a million texts he composed.
After watching the two comedies, Taming the Shrew and Much Ado Nothing by Shakespeare, Kenth Branagh in the Much Ado comedy seems to be good at acting and fast in his talking. The cast makes use of a language that appears to be so "normal" that can influence an inclination on the audience that Branagh had rewritten large portions. Moreover, the performers were outstanding. Besides, the language used in Taming of the Shrew is capable of creating strong spasms of intimidation. For instance where Petruchio tries to compare Katharina.
