For any individual to be human-like, the person should practice the spirit of adventure. Chris McCandless sold everything he had and decided, donated his 24 000 dollars to charity, changed his name, and started living a new life. According to Krakauer, one should take quick and drastic measures to try and do something new that he/she might have found difficult to do previously. The main character of McCandless is portrayed in his boldness in making life-changing decisions. From Krakauer's ideas or thoughts, McCandless appears to be arrogant and ignorant but not disrespectful and selfish because he assumes the safety of his life and goes into the world to explore a different life. He also donates his savings to charity, which proves he's not selfish. He's not disrespectful because that is his opinion and takes of life as everyone has the right to make a choice.
He can be termed as noble, brave, extraordinary, and determined because of his ability to make solid and courageous decisions. You don't require individuals in your life to support you to achieve your target goals; all you need is self-belief that you can do it and the courage to try something new.
Nowadays, basing my facts from the stories of most successful people, to be successful, you have to be bold enough to make vital decisions, forget about everything, move ahead, and you will discover everything new you never thought you could. It could also be linked to the Bible, where Jesus Christ tells his disciples to live everything, including their families, to get into heaven and experience the sweetness in the Kingdom of heaven. With most Americans, Grand Canyon proves to be among the best and most enticing to explore. Still, most Americans prefer to follow the same routine of going back home after a job and, in the process, fail to discover it and all the precious kinds of stuff God has in store for us in this life.

He is astonished by way of life of most people globally in that they enjoy doing the same thing repeatedly without bothering to explore what nature has provided for them. Chris believes a human being has a long life to live, and you will be disadvantaged not to have moved around the world to experience the good kinds of stuff nature has provided for you. He believes that the ability and capability to do something useful in life lie in our decisions to abandon our current lifestyle, risk significantly and go into the big wild world to satisfy our ever-burning desires.
According to Krakauer, the author of the book Into the World, to be happy, one should take quick and drastic measures to try and do something new that he/she might have found difficult to do previously.
