Health institutions are among the most complex and independent units recognized by societies. Without sufficient as well as good integration at different levels, the entire features of healthcare performance will have to suffer. Customers usually get lost, essential services fail to be delivered or even hindered, and customer's satisfaction decline. The healthcare providers take the lead of an individual and come up with decisions for the person regarding the kind of medication to be used. Therefore, customers usually do not expect that their issues will come first or seriously addressed. The attitude, though changing, it has infiltrated health care beyond the traditional medication from diseased centred approach to new approaches that are oriented to serve the interest of all customers who use their services. Person-Centred Approach did not come into existence on its own; psychologist Carl Rogers derived it in the 1930s. To obtain the concepts, Carl used three major conditions: congruence, unconditional and conditional positive as well as empathy as indicated by Saul (2019). The three conditions put the customers in the leading line instead of the patent’s issues. It leads to not only to patient or customer’s solving their issues, but also helps them familiarize personal as well as emotional development. The approaches provided solutions to the existing problems, as well as offering customers with the necessary tools for addressing their future issues. In this case, counselling is discussed as my line of experience.
Counsellingvenueor locality is a place where a customer or any individual may decide to go and learn or even try to express feelings and thoughts or any kind he or she desires to talk about, putting in mind that the person is in a harmless environment. In this case, the counsellor is the person who can facilities the location or place on the directions towards their way to that of self-assessment, leading to congruency with their self. They gain more international locus or assessment, which is the right way to becoming a fully effectiveindividual.
The time I started my program, which is almost four years ago, I went through hard situations with identifying the approach framework that could match my understanding, as well as the therapy framework that I believed, would be the most suitable and beneficial for my clients. Additionally, I also had to consider the aspect of my philosophy in my daily life as well as what could work well for me personally and professionally. After an exploration of several theoretical approaches, I found Person-Centred-Approach that could best suit my life philosophy. I chose on this philosophy due to the emphasis and well as the importance that it places on the relationships, empathy as well as trust and also being in the present and tune with an individual's feelings (Cloninger and Cloninger). Additionally, the philosophy provides a safe place for a person to feel comfortable
