Mobile usage has for the recent past increased significantly. Apart from the basic fundamental use of mobile phones, trends of Smartphones have popped up to revolutionize this the world of mobile phones. Samsung phones are currently the mostly sold smartphones in the world. It provides quality goods at affordable prices. Smartphones market is among one of the most competitive businesses in the world. There close competitors Apple have given them a reason to work harder. This has made research to be a daily routine to the Samsung Company. Smartphone users are very satisfied with services provided by Samsung. They always work hard to be able to gain a competitive advantage compared to their competitors. They are committed to helping people discover the world’s possibilities. They give people what they expect through technology and good products.
This paper is going to show the business strategy that Samsung uses to maintain their top position in the smartphone market. This study will be able to show how Samsung works to open the doors for new technological innovations.
Background
Samsung started in 1938 by Lee Byung-Chull in Su-dang as a small company selling grocery and noodles produced from the cities around. It started to expand in 1947 and left when Korean War started. It expanded t electronics and in 1980 it joined the telecommunication industry. It eventually shifted to mobile phone manufacturing which has increased their popularity. They currently improved their phones to smartphones which are much better and reliable (Renee & Kim, 2013). 
Samsung has grown very fast in terms of attracting customers and quality due to their many inventions. They have able to compete with big companies like apple and blackberry. They manage this due to the strong brand affection they have (Michael, 2010). They invest more in brand loyalty than marketing making them to be on top of other. They work on how to make the customers prefer by using technology to create different makes of their phone being able to serve a large population.
Problem Statement
As much as Samsung as managed to be on top, they cannot relax and wait for profits. Change being one of the most common factors in phone technology that they always have to catch up with it. They use their funds to be able to educate people on their technology. This gives people the urge to be able to own their goods hence buying them. They build a partnership with both profitable and non-profitable organizations with the purpose of gaining more. Technology is considered to be the work force behind new smartphone trends. Their greatest problem is competitors who work hard to bring them down. 4G network and Wi-Fi connection are considered to be the latest development in the field of smartphones. Samsung has always ensured that their latest model devices are equipped with the features to meet the business description.
Research Objectives
The major goal for this study is to understand how Samsung is always gaining competitive advantage compared to their customers. The following are particular points of concern:
1. To investigate the good features of the products attract new customers and keeps existing customers.
2. To understand the technologies that are used and make them efficient for users.
3. To understand what gives the company a competitive advantage in such a big business.
4. To identify the factors that will make the company retain their top place in the market despite the stiff competition.
Research Questions
According to the above research objectives, the following questions should be answered.
1. What is the business strategy that makes them preferred to competitors?
2. What level of technology does the company embrace?
3. What is the limit of business growth?
4. What does the company aim to be able to gain popularity over the last one year? 
Study Justification
This research was conducted because of the influence that smartphone have in the word. It is a very high paying industry that encourages potential business people to join. Communication is a very essential thing to human beings. Mobile phones are the latest commonly used means of communication (Grosse, 2009). With the changing technology phones are more advanced. Smartphones have embraced most of the mobile technologies. Most people are interested in updating with the technology. Mobile phones are used as gadgets to improve the people.
The study will be able to ways that will make Smartphones more reliable than before. It will give the strategy that Samsung Company can use to propel to the top of the market.
Scope of the Study
This research focuses on improving the Samsung brands. It mainly wants to look on how Samsung can be able to maintain their good reputation in the market. It gives tips on how Samsung works to be able to be on their best strength. It can highlight the key thing that the company should put in place in order for them to be able to lead the telecommunication industry. It will also be able to capture what the competitors are doing to lower them. It can give a clear view of what Samsung does to be able to ensure success (Kourdi, 2010). Even as firms emerge with different smartphones claiming to be the best, Samsung will always be on top.
