Samuel Taylor Coleridge was a poet-critic who famed for his understanding and thoughts on literature. He criticized the modern English customs using creative ways. He participated in influencing progressive writers and individuals during the French Revolution. The society has always sought to create new virtue that would substitute the heroic forms of art. The practices exhibit contrasting features depending on where the artists formulated the virtuous aesthetics (Burwick & Pape, 1990).
In some societies, the straightforward and polished aesthetics would distinguish the new consumer experience brought about by industrial advancement. This made the society more rational as compared to the era before Samuel’s criticisms.
