The common knowledge of technology being a solution of a lot of problems in our day to day life is virtually true. In previous times there were lots of problems that had no solution, but due to technological advancement solutions have been met. Application programs have helped greatly in the problem solving phase.
There is a general assumption in all business organisations that technology overcomes most challenges. Most businesses implement the use of IT related equipment’s to assist in almost all the areas of work. But these businesses tend to forget that, when a business is jeopardised also the IT equipment will be put at risk. The IT equipment makes work easy for sure, but once tempered by the end results won’t be appealing to the organisation.
The best example of an organisation is the accounts department. An organisation that uses CRM systems in the finance sector helps in following up clients’ invoices, payments and the payment overdue. Some CRM systems work efficiently over a period of time, but, it is controverted it when one staff member is always making the payment late. The employee alters the system, hence bringing contradiction in the business (Paye 2013). This brings about the need for change management plan to ensure follow up of late payers.
