Pollution is the addition of contaminants to the natural environment which cause adverse effects. It can occur in various forms such as air, water, land, noise, light and electromagnetic pollution. Littering, soil and radioactive contamination are among other forms of pollution in the environment. Over the years, pollution has caused a lot of negative effects to the earth which in turn affects human health. The existence of pollutants in the environment are detrimental to the health of humans and other living organisms (Shireesha, 2021). These detrimental effects have led to the development of new technologies to mitigate pollution on earth.
Particulate control systems are one of the technologies developed to reduce air pollution mainly emitted by industries. According to (Ronquillo, 2017), the control systems reduce and sometimes remove the air pollution from industries by either combustion which destroys the pollutant, conversion to a less harmful component or collection to remove waste before the air is released again. With these particulate control systems in place, the percentage of air pollution reduces significantly.
Alternatively, one of the recent technologies used to reduce water pollution is the micro bubble generator. The micro bubble system involves micro nano bubbles generated by a conventional fine air bubble aerator which produces finer than air bubbles. The bubbles effectively aid in the reduction of microorganisms in water by decomposing them. In addition to the micro nano bubbles, micro bubbles last longer in the water hence reduce decompose more microorganisms. The process involved successfully ground water contaminate with a number of organic compounds including volatile organic compounds, semi volatile organic compounds and petroleum hydrocarbons (PCR Environmental Management Inc., 1996, p. 358)
