Office Art memo
Having studied closely the new trends in the office layout and organizational systems, there is more to decency than just the size. An attracting office place has proven to be a motivating factor not only to workers but also to the customers (Price, 2007). This time it is not all about the outside view but the internal decoration of the office. Paint less office nothing more than a boring classroom. A good office is one that that is adequately painted (Woodworth, 2008). I would like to propose for the inclusion of some art in our new corporate office. I have landed on the three paints from the 19th-century Impressionist; the self-portraits of Pierre Augusta Renoir and Claude Monet reading a magazine and lastly Boulevard Montmartre by Camille Pissarro. For the Post-Impressionist: a lion devouring the prey an art by Henri Rousseau, In the Oise valley work of Paul Cezanne, and the paints of the Yellow Books by Vincent Van Goh.
In the first three piece of art closely relate to the 19th-century impressionist by the painting. The features in the painting display the impact of time. Characteristics include the sizes and color. The paintings are somehow small, thin but are however visible. The light is represented in its changing quality to appreciate the passage of time. The artist has carefully mixed the colors to archive the most desirable surface for the artwork.
In the case of Impressionist the artist choice of painting fall into the two styles by the way they reflect on innovation and how they envision modernity (Dijck, 2013). In comparison to the work of impressionist in the creation of objects to capture the optical impacts of light and the atmosphere, for them, they wanted to work on something that was inspiring in their work. In the Impressionist there is the theme of light and its diminishing effect.
In the first art work the Pierre Augusta Renoir, the appearance shows an old man with gray hair. The portrait tries to depict a sense of sobriety as the man is seen calm on the chair. The color of the hairs shows maturity and the appreciation of time passage. The portrait in the office will indicate to the visitors the establishment and the competency of the workers as illustrated by the self-portrait since the gray hair is associated with knowledge.
The appearance in the second paintings: Claude Monet reading a magazine shows an old man reading a newspaper with a cigar in his mouth. The portrait tries to appreciate the importance of information and needs to always stay updated. It is imperative to stay connected to the current matters by the staff. The portrait also will show that the organization is committed to creating awareness by ensuring that the workers get access to the information. In addition, the cigar in the mouth of the man also creates a sense of freedom for enjoyment. In the third painting Boulevard Montmartre by Camille Pissarro, it shows a paint of the busy site of the street. The portrait indicates the mass of people and the population pressures such as jams. Literally, the portrait is very attractive and would take one staring for hours. In relation to the company, the company is involved matters concerning job creations, the portrait are a true picture of the company's objective. This portrait should be located at the office of the human resource.
