Transaction Communication Model
Transaction communication model is simply the transmission of ideas between the sender and the receiver where there exists turn taking. In this case, both the sender and the receiver are recognized as communicators as their role converse in the communication process.
There are several elements involved in this communication model. The sender is the originator and encoder of a message while the receiver is the listener, rather, a person who receives a message and becomes the decoder of that message (West & Turner, 2011). We also have the message which is the module being passed on to the receiver. Feedback is another element, which refers to the response of the receiver (West & Turner, 2011). Noise is also another significant element of this model. It represents the activities or factors that interfere with the transfer of a message.
Sender
The relationship between the sender and receiver equally impacts the interpretation of the message. In this given scenario, Richardson’s reaction could be termed as a lively response as he softly excused himself.
Channel
The success of message is determined by the channel used to transmit information where Richardson and I communicated verbally.
