The beginning of World War II in 1943 expedited the process of development in warfare technology. Both the USA and Germany thought that the development of jet fighter planes will tilt the balance of war into their favor. Both started working immediately for the development of these planes. USA appointed Lockheed to work on a plane called P-80. Young engineer Clarence Johnson was appointed as the head of the project. He collected the entire team in the headquarters for the project known as SKUNKWORKS and laid out a plan with 14 important principles that set the foundation for modern management.
STAKEHOLDER ANALYSIS:
Stakeholders are people who are affected because of decision taken either by themselves or some other party. They may have direct control over the project or a process, but they are affected due to the entire project or certain parts of the project.
The table below summarizes the stakeholders, their motives, and their opinion about the development of new planes. Although majority thinks it will cause death and destruction, other is hopeful that it will eliminate the evil created by Nazis. It will also end Hitler’s rule and save the Jews from holocaust.
