Due to recent technological advancement, there has been an attempt to replace libraries with digital or internet sources of learning materials. There is, however, still a need for libraries. It is because of the need for a reliable source of information.
Most people in different developed and underdeveloped countries need reliable information on health, public service, nutrition, and safety. In addition, they need important information about literacy, cultural activities, important skills in employment, and collective education. There is a need for survival, safety and prosperity. In case of misleading information, the countries may worsen economic poverty (Rubin & Rachel, 2017). The information is important to promote the right investments for proper knowledge on opportunities available. Libraries as well go beyond tradition. There is an increase in the digital divide for both classes and gender. There has been an increase in religious and ethnic tensions. Therefore, the countries need to relook at better ways that can meet the needs of their people through reliable sources of information.
