Non-literal collections require detailed study and analysis by experts to convert gathered signals into information that can be understood by humans and used in the process of decision making. The common methods of intelligence collections falling under the non-literal collections category include Imagery Intelligence (IMINT), Radar Intelligence (RADINT), and Electronic Intelligence (ELINT), among others (GlobalSecurity.org, 2019).
