Discussion 7 "Constitutional and political issues in the 1850s in the US."
The 1850 treaty prompted the constitutional disparities between the civil law and the initial agreements and the political matter of the democrat's supremacy.
Legal issues in 1850 got prompted by the questioning of adherence to the 1850 compromise under which the union got formed. The understanding was envisioned to aid in solving problems regarding slave trade within the boundaries attained during the Mexican fracas. However, the state of Georgia was not for the idea, and thus, they protested. Georgia could not bear the central governments involvement on slave trade matters in the southern states. One of the critical things Georgia demanded in the treaty document was its right to hold slaves to be protected as provided for in the constitution (Saye 210). When this did not hold water, the state perceived the 1850 compromise as grave evil of the statute.
