Slave revolt
There are various slave rebellions that have been seen during the colonial era. During this era, resistance due to poor working conditions, sabotage among other crimes. The felt that they should escape from the harsh hands of the slavery and an independent life. For instance, 25 slaves armed themselves and killed the white when they set the fire in New York in 1912. These events occurred in the many parts of the world taking place in different ways as the United States' the 1790s. The most predominant world's slave revolts include the following (Dubois & Garrigus, 2006).
Some examples of slave rebellions
The most common slave revolt is about the Thracian gladiator by the name Spartacus that occurred during the third servile war (James, Høgsbjerg, & Dubois, 2013). The rising come up during the 73 B.C where Spartacus commanded a large group of slaves across the Roman countryside. This caused instability in the Roman's Senate due to the defeat from this slavery movement.
The Nat Turner's rebellion took place in 1831 serving as one of the famous slave revolts in the American history. During the rebellion, a master family was killed on 21st August 1831 by Turner. During the revolt, over 50 whites were killed by about 70 slaves who bumped into the house.
Also, the Zani revolt talked about the African slaved who caused a resistance in the Middle East. It took place during the 869 A.D where Arab revolutionary movement was joined by the Zani slaves where they conducted raids around the cities (Evans, 2013).
Other slave rebellions that marked the world's history includes the Haitian revolution that stared in 1791 organized by the black slaves. The St. John insurrection of 1733, the Baptist war in 1831, and the 1570s Gaspar Yanga’s rebellion.
