The Impact of the Industrial Revolution on Modern Society The industrial revolution of the late 18th Century revolutionized the society through changing the modes of production and led to imperative economic and social shifts. It was the time that most societies changed from agricultural based economy to an industrial and urban society, which to some extent is already in today’s society.The former revolution brought about revolutionary inventions like the steam engine and mechanization of textiles production.
