Technology in the Healthcare Industry
The impact of technology in the health care sector is overwhelming it has increased the rate at which lives have been saved as well as improving the quality of life that the people are experiencing. Technology has positively affected the lives of both the patient as well as that of the medical professionals. It is also through the technology that there have been advanced medical processes and treatment services that have increased the human beings lifespan. Technology has increased the welfare of the society through the increased developments and innovations in HealthCare. The aim of the study is to research and describe how technological advancements in my life has changed the healthcare industry.
Technology has numerous advantages which include; easier retrieval of patient’s medical history through the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system (Campanella et al, 2015). This system has revolutionized the provision of health services in the medical facilities as it provides and contains necessary information about the patient’s medical history and billings. This is important as it increases the doctors understanding the patient’s history. This reduces the time that is required to assess the medical history of the patients which enhance proper time management for both parties.
