The internet era has led to a global crime that is paralyzing states economically, socially and politically. The most imminent crime perpetrated through internet is cyber terrorism. This has always affected every person irrespective of age and gender. Any individual with the ability to access internet is exposed to cybercrime. Cybercrimes manifests in different folds, for instance, online stealing of passwords from people and stealing their private information that results in ultimate losses to the individuals. The second instance is a situation where a cybercriminal masquerades as genuine person in an online system then shares fatal features that terrorize a given society. Cybercrime also takes the form of cyberbullying. For instance, strangers normally use online platforms to sexually bully children by and even adults by exposing them to obscene sex materials with intent of changing their perception towards such obscene information. Finally, cyberterrorism is the major problem facing the world that makes security systems in different countries to be a problem. Apart from cybercrime, there are other numerous global crimes such as human trafficking, gun trafficking and environmental criminal issues such deforestation and uncontrolled industrialization leading to global warming.
The most pronounced crime that has impacted justice systems is human trafficking. This is the unlawful movement of people, mostly women and children from one county to another. The illegal movement of people has subjected them to slavery and frustration in places where they are sent by their criminal merchants. These criminal merchants target people of within poverty stricken areas, people with disability and also coerce people through the use of forced abduction. Human trafficking has led to the infringement of women and children rights, since most of these victims are involved in sexual exploitation by those who buy them. Human trafficking has been noticed to be beyond racial boundaries, since the traffickers use all illegal means to ensure they entice mostly women and children who are their major prey to export to other countries where they are stripped off all human rights and used as slaves. The most ventures for trafficking humans are sex trade. Women and children are smuggled to different countries to act as sex toys to the attackers. They are also used as a source of cheap labor that is used in finishing odd jobs such as farming. The criminal merchants force women into prostitution and labeling them for such sex errands to get money. This is because once they are smuggled; all their belongings are confiscated and left with nothing to raise any alarm when persecuted (Senior, 2007).
The other fundamental crime that has posed problems to the justice system is gun smug. Guns and other dangerous arsenals have been sent to terrorists who use them to commit heinous crimes to innocent citizens. The other dangerous crime that has been difficult to handle is drug trafficking. The drug barons have camouflaged into different ways that makes them difficult to be nabbed by the justice systems put in place. They also lead to many changes in the justice system making it difficult to offer a conclusive and reasonable justice to the offenders. Finally, global warming has also resulted due to innocent crimes by citizens from different countries. This happens where deforestation and industrialization are not controlled to help mitigate this menace. This has led to the environmental policy developed by Kyoto convention to help punish those who cause major environmental pollution (Shoham et al., 2008).
To combat heinous human crimes such as human and drug trafficking, the international justice system has enacted a constitution that cuts across all countries in the world to help manage the rights of humans. These institutions are modelled such that any criminal merchant nabbed in the act must not be referred back to their home countries. They are immediately tried where arrested and tried using international act created to guide in such cases. Some of the offenders are tried and hanged in different countries without referring to their home justice system. The jurisprudence that guides the in the trial of human and drug trafficking offenders are uniform and consistently revised by all stakeholders to ensure that all issues are incorporated in the constitution. The UN is one of the major stakeholders in the development of justice system that helps to control human and drugs trafficking. The US government is currently enacting a law to help make gun possession illegal (Reichel, 2008).
The recent events of cybercrime have been experienced at the political arena. This has been as a result of espionage or political malice. The practical instance of cyberattack was on Hillary Clinton’s mail server. Her server was terrorized severally by cybercriminals from china, and Germany. The offence was majorly to bring her down politically by exposing the contents of her conversations from the time she was a senator to secretary of state. This is an attempt of infringing ones privacy rights. The right to have privacy to personal information is a right enshrined in the constitution of America and also supported by constitutions of all states all over the world. The justice system used to combat such cybercrime was investigation. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) were immediately sent on the ground and also trained FBIs dealing with cyberattacks were given go head...
