In the case of college events, for example, the college can establish a working relationship with the local authorities or the department in charge of sports. A plan can be submitted to the local authorities or any other donor to highlight the details of the budgetary requirements, as well as, justification for the finances that will be required.
Throughout the budgeting process, there are several factors that should be put into consideration. The budget should be real and aligned as much as possible to the event. This should include the exact number of people that are expected to attend. If there is only one donor then it is advisable to keep the numbers on the minimum, but in the case of multiple donors the budget can be larger.
