The majority of workers in the processing plants are immigrant workers. For instance, they work every year in the poultry processing plants. In consequence, there emerged a shift due to the disappearance of the canning industry where the majority of the migrant workers secured jobs that they could do every year in the poultry processing plants and as the result ending up being transformed into immigrant workers. Due to this reason, a majority of these workers ended up being the valuable part of the poultry industry on the Peninsula through the provision of a labor force that at sometimes back was not easy to find.
The first appearance of migrant workers first took place during the days of truck farming. Every year, they would be moving from the south to the northwards during the times when the season was at its peak with regards to job availability. After reaching their destination, these workers would end up getting absorbed in the institutions where they would get employed for a very short period. At the times of the Second World War, the migrant workers contributed towards the rise in the demand for labor. However, following the adoption of strict health and safety, health regulation that had the objective of enhancing the improvement in the pathetic living conditions of the laborers in the early 1960s, the was a decrement in the migrant camps. In this case, the notable of these newly introduced regulations was the passage of the strict health department codes. On the same note, growers and the operators had to satisfy these conditions of meeting the requirement needed for water supply, sewage disposal, pest management and also fire handling and safety. Added to this, other factors that also contributed towards the abolition of the migrant camps were the harsh weather conditions and also the invention of modern technologies that could large voluminous work compared to the low quantity and also less efficient human labor. Due to this reason, there was the disappearance of the migrant camps as much as some are still present up to date.

For example, there are so problems that have the association with the influx of the immigrant workers such as driving minus license, influence of drugs, housing problems and the decline in the value of property.
Another area to note in the findings from the study is the issue of the identity crisis that is a product of the identification fraud and also products of identities that have emerged currently. The same instance also has an association with the immigrant who are dire need for working in an industry and at the same time the same industry that is also in dire need for workers. For instance, some forge names while others fake their life history reports with the hope of getting the favor of being employed in this industries thus falling into the category of the illegal immigrants in these poultry firms.
The coming of the illegal immigrants indeed has been the cause of the development of the rental market that is more competitive and also much profit generating oriented for people who live in real estate as much as the instance has also come with some problems. For example, in most of the occasions, rented houses are not conducive to living in despite being rented at high costs monthly. Such cases often lead the overcrowding of the majority of these houses. Consequently, the instance leads to the lives of the tenants so pathetic since they have very little time for engaging their recreational activities as they do not enjoy luxurious accommodation.
