Ancient Greek mathematicians significantly contributed to the development of mathematics across the globe, and its applications range from geometry and engineering to astronomy and design. Egyptian mathematicians influenced mathematical accomplishments such as the Pythagorean theory of right-angled triangles. Mathematicians and scientists have relied on their work since they first developed the fundamental building blocks of mathematics. The Pythagorean theorem and Euclid's Approximation to the Square Root of 2 are two examples of Geek mathematics that everyone should be familiar with.

Ancient Greece is one of civilization's most important contributors. Their numerous accomplishments are contributions to physics, chemistry, and a wide range of other essential subjects, including mathematics. Ancient Egyptians and Babylonians traveled to Greece for commerce when mathematics was recognized as a scientific discipline in Greece. However, despite their numerous contributions to mathematics, the Greeks did not document their findings immediately but instead communicated them by word of mouth. Because of this, Thales and Pythagoras did not leave any written records of their achievements.
Pythagoras and Thales' work was summarized by Proclus and Eudemus, two other Greeks (Netz, R. (2004). Theorem: "Any angle inscribed in a semicircle is a right angle" is Thales' contribution to early Greek mathematics. The discipline of Geometry will benefit greatly from this. Besides his theory regarding perfect angles in a semicircle, he was also said to have used a stick to measure the height of the Pyramid of Giza. The Egyptians and Babylonians introduced the concept of mathematics to Greece, but Thales was able to arrange these concepts in a logical way. Because geometry was often utilized just for measuring at the time, Thales was also in charge of incorporating it into daily life. Thus, other Greeks were inspired to build on Thales's foundation by following in his footsteps Plato and Pythagorean
