The push and pull factors exist in each place and take place for different reasons. Some individual gets pushed into migration because of violence, race, and at times religion. Pull factors that can make a person migrate is looking for life opportunities that are better. The focus of this paper is on the pull and push factors for nationals of Honduran wanting to leave Honduras.
Some of the push factors why Honduran nationals want to leave Honduras are violence, corruption, changes in the government, and lack of employment. Thee violence in the area is perpetrated by criminal gangs which represents one of the highest rates of murder in the globe. The murder rate of the youths in Honduran has been in the increase which forces people to move. The violence that is unrelenting in the region is widely accepted as having forced about 70,000 families and many unaccompanied children to move from the region (Dwyer, 2012).
