The article The Symptoms of Resource of Scarcity focusses on the judgment of food and finance influence preferences for the potential partners. The study makes it clear that in their classic study of the human sexual behavior, it was evident that there is few if any universal standards of sexual attractiveness. It makes it clear that subsequent studies have made an effort to come up with unique universal preferences for romantic partners. It was evident in most of the studies that men tend to care more about the physical attractiveness in potential mates. However, it is the different case for women who tend to have little focus on physical attractiveness in their potential mates. However, there was a high likelihood of cross cultural consistency in men who are wealthy and of high social status in the community. Ford and Beach in their study based their claims aspects that cross cultural preferences were lacking for female body weight.
