The student should use Divorce and Remarriage: Four Christian Views from the recommended reading list to build his/her case on God’s view of divorce and remarriage. The student will develop his or her own theological view of divorce and remarriage and defend the stance using scriptural support. Matters to do with marriage and divorce have proven to be the most challenging problems faced by contemporary relationships. In Christian society, marriage is believed to be a special kind of oath intended by God. According to the book of Genesis chapter one, we are told that God created man in His image and likeness. Furthermore, God created Adam and Even for the drive of companionship. He also blessed their marriage and ordered them to be productive and fill the world. In the second chapter of the book of Genesis, chapter 2, verses 18 and 22, the Bible has revealed why God created a woman after Adam. Aftermath, God introduced marriage and termed as biblical. Instone (2002) adds that all religions across the globe take marriage as Godly. Besides, it is stated that it is not God for a man to live alone and, thus, needs a helper.
