Every country in the world has unique factors that differentiate it from other nations. Saudi Arabia and the United States are two large countries that have an influence on both international economics and politics. However, there exist several differences between the two states. Therefore, this paper seeks to bring forth the exceptional characteristics between the United States and Saudi Arabia
The first distinguishing aspect is religion. In the United States, there are several religions and freedom of worship which makes the US be the most religious nation. It is exposed that many people in the United States believe in religion and it is alleged to play a crucial in peoples’ life (Crow, 2017). The constitution of this state ensures that religion is empowered and citizens have the power to create spiritual practices. While in Saudi Arabia there is only one religion (Noori, 2010). It is estimated that there are more than one hundred religious groups in the USA, where 80 percent are Christians, while Muslims and Jews have two percent each. On the other hand, In Saudi Arabia the official religion is Islamic, and they believe in prophets and God. The law of this nation only allow citizenship to Muslim individuals and non-Muslims are only given a chance to work in this country.
The second difference is based on immigration. There are many immigrants in the United States while there are no settlers in Saudi Arabia. The reason behind many foreigners in the US is the existence of systems providing laws that protect the rights of the foreigners (Ullah & Haque, 2014). However, in Saudi Arabia, no system supports people from other countries (Lippman & Council on Foreign Relations, 2012).
The third aspect bringing variances between the two countries is the sources of national income. Saudi Arabia mostly gets its revenue from the sale of oil while the USA has many key sources of income (Hasan, 2006). To touch on few sources, United States obtain their national income from businesses and industries.
The United States and Saudi Arabia differs in education systems. Many people move from Saudi Arabia to seek education in the United States (Finkelstein & Kelchen, 2017). This movement shows that education is better in the United States as compared to Saudi Arabia.
Lastly, the cost of living in the USA is higher compared to Saudi Arabia. The high fee is due to the availability of taxes in the United States which does not exist in Saudi Arabia.
To culminate, despite the differences between the two nations, there exist some similarities. However, the education system in the USA tends to be exaggerated when compared to Saudi Arabia since the United States was founded long ago as compared to this country.
