Introduction
According to a study from the Columbia University, addiction is a major case in the United States that has since been neglected considering many Americans at the age of 12 meet their clinical prescriptions for drugs and alcohol addiction. The population is more than the people suffering from chronic diseases such as cancer and diabetes. Addiction has resulted in consequences such as family disjunction and financial and legal problems among other known issues including crime and domestic violence. The abuse of alcohol has been prevalent in many countries and especially Asian countries such as china and Philippines. These countries have been high on alcohol abuse despite the fact that Asian countries discourage alcohol or rather have special liquor based on their religious produce. The treatment approaches in the Asian countries is similar to the approaches in the United States including residential treatment, language-based treatment as well as aftercare treatment.
