The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, known for short as DHS, works closely with other security agencies for the sake of enforcing good order and security in the nation. When the U.S. was attacked by terrorists in September 2001, DHS was forced to update its functions, and this meant that the role of DHS had to change not only for the better but also completely (Dunlap Jr, 2011). Since the September 2001 event, DHS has been carrying out on-site and off-site surveillance on its citizens as well as on foreigners.

Unethical issues should be addressed accordingly once they have occurred. When unethical issues are treated with high priority, there is a high chance that incidences and behaviors that are unethical will be addressed in good order (Govinfo.gov, 2002).
