Political science is the learning of politics scientifically. It helps to show how social science deals with issues of power and governance. This scientific study also reveals how political activity analyses usually influence the political thoughts and behaviors of those involved politically. Current political science is subdivided in various ways that reflect political economies and various methodologies used in economics (Heywood, 2015).
Political theory
This is the study of concepts in politics and the recording of any political thoughts. The strength in this theory is influenced by the student’s ability to distinguish current politics and past politics. Political theory is divided into various subsections to show how politics affect various departments in the nation. The first section is the relation between language and politics. Language highly defines how politics affects our legal reality as well as distracting it. Language and politics are inseparable as they always influence how citizens will live (Utch, 2018). Language helps politics to achieve its objectives. This is because it is through language that many people arable to interact and communicate with one another. Since language is the basis of communication, politics are also affected by language. Politics is also spread through mass media, debates, and slogans. All these are various means of communication that assist in persuading politics. Language is also attached to ethnic identity and cultural ways which highly influence politics.
Feminist politics is also a section in political theory. Although various roles of women are shown in their families, their roles are currently reflected in politics as well. Feminist politics thus provide ways in which women can be valued concerning politics (Amoore, 2015). Feminism being an equal treatment to both sexes in politics, helps to strengthen the value of women. Some time back, women were only subjected to house chores. This has changed especially in western history as women are currently in the face of politics. Participation of both genders in politics has brought various developments in politics. It has helped to improve political discipline due to the respect they give to one another.
Political institutions
Political institutions highly affect the economic growth of a state or a nation. This is because social and political challenges have played a major role in shaping the national institutions and the current economy. Political institutions which are also economic institutions include; Institutions for regulations, social insurance institutions, property rights, and conflict management institutions (Cruz, 2018). All these institutions highly affect the economic growth of a nation. Due to the influence of politics, various individuals are thus subjected to more benefits than others. This results in a conflict of interest as some people some disadvantaged compared to others. All these effects always depend on political power assigned to various people. The value of these economic institutions also affects democracy. This is because the existence of new democracies depends on the growth of various political institutions.
