Examples from my experience During my time in school, I have participated in several out-of-school activities which have enabled me to develop and improve not only in my academics but also in my socializing skills. The majority of the programs I take part in revolves around literacy and academic development initiatives, educational and social development programs. Literacy enhancement programs have engaged me in writing and reading activities in significantly motivating environments. Such events have ignited my interest in learning thus translating into an improved academic performance. Furthermore, educational programs I participate in have aided me in developing my career goals and objectives in a substantial manner. Besides, social development programs have significantly supported my social and emotional development in various ways such as conflict-resolution abilities and character building with less accentuate on the academics. Application in Health Services career Skills and abilities a learner gathers while participating in out-of-school programs are vital not only in their teenage lives but also in their career goals and objectives. Students participate in literacy and academic enhancement programs voluntarily which enable them to meet other learners, with similar career ambitions, coming from a broad range of educational backgrounds.
