People have put much emphasis on the formal academic system. Many academic curriculums mainly drill students to white or blue collar jobs. Whereas some parents opt to allow their kids into co-curricular activities, others are opposed to it. Co-curricular activities are programs that have been introduced in schools to supplement the learning programs. They include sports, music, and art. Also, the activities also enable students to develop leadership skills.
Lastly, not everybody has the talent of excelling in academic activities. There are globally successful musicians and athletes. The talents can only be identified when kids are allowed to participate in sports and music. The co-curricular activities provide a range of options to careers that individuals can choose.
