Importance of Pollination
Pollination is defined as the process by which the pollen grains are wholly transported to flowers belonging to the same species for sexual reproduction (Genung et al, 2017). The movement of these genetic materials in form of pollen grains is the basis for the development of most food crops. Most plants depend on the pollinators; hence in the absence of the pollinators, the human race and all the terrestrial ecosystems would not survive. Therefore, it is worthwhile to investigate the overwhelming benefits of this biological process.
