The festival is celebrated in commemoration of the arrival of the monsoon in the area of their subcontinent. It is associated to various myths and beliefs to the people of India. During this festival, Indians light up their homes, temples, and the office spaces using lanterns, candles, and oil lamps. Diwali is a joyous and colorful festival, celebrated with enthusiasm and fervor by people of all ages and backgrounds. It promotes unity, love, and togetherness, and is an important part of India's cultural heritage.
