Ryan is coauthor of “Sex at Dawn” and a researcher of human sexuality. He approaches the topic from a prehistoric angle and asserts that human beings have historically had multiple partners.
Speaker’s Perspective
Ryan argues that we should have a greater tolerance for unconventional relationships like polyamorous relations and same-sex marriages. There are contradictions of what we are told to feel and to generate a tremendous amount of suffering. Ryan hopes that we should have a more accurate understanding of human sexuality or finally rest the idea that men have the innate and instinctive right to monitor and control female sexual behavior.
