The George’s agency is currently accepting proposals that seek to develop design and host the website of the Association. This project would be imperative in the essence that it is a concept that would facilitate the processes that involve production. The main objective and purpose for this request for proposal (RFP) is to give a fair evaluation and assessments for all the interested candidates. Additionally a criterion will be provided of which will provide a guideline in which they would be judged. The present website was designed and modified in 2001. It is worth a mention that the site is maintained with in-house based resources.
RFP Guidelines
The information technology proposal described above is an open and a competitive process. Please note that the proposals that will be received later than 6.00pm on Thursday, July 17, 2015 will be declined and, in this case, the application will be returned unopened. In the proposal, there must be a signature of the agent of the company or an authorized officer submitting the proposal. Should there be an alternative solution; no restriction should reject the latter. In the form, the price quoted must be inclusive.
For example, if the cost does not include certain charges or fees, there must be a provision of a detailed list of the charges that are excluded and bears a complete explanation regarding the same. In case of additional subcontractors, there must be a clarification of this in the proposal form. Additionally, please note that the subcontractors must be identified, and their duties specified. Their respective addresses and names must be included in the form for further clarifications and formalities. The contents of the respondence and provisions of this RFP will be available for the inclusions in the final obligations of the contract.
The terms of the contract
The George’s agency will negotiate all the terms and conditions of selection of the most suitable candidate for the proposal. It is important to note that all the contracts are subjected to change and reviews the agency’s legal counsel. The contract will be awarded only the contract form has been signed by the successful candidate. The contract form outlines the budget, scope terms, and other necessities that may be required.
Purpose
The George’s agency presently has a web presence that is outdated in terms of appearance, content presentation and structure. In this case, an opportunity appears that seeks to re-engineer the web site and, in this case, better missions of the agency will be reflected. It is, therefore, advisable to in cooperate the latest website technology. After the site has been completed in terms of repair, the agency will take full charge of the contents of the website in terms of administration and maintenance. Additionally, all the necessary graphics, coding and contents will remain the property of the agency.
System Description
The agency seeks to have an informative and flexible website that is simpler and easy to maintain by the communication experts of the agency (Cyr, Head & Larios, 2010). The website must but be developed in such a way that is easier t handle large volumes of constantly flowing information to all other departments within the agency and key audiences. Additionally, the site must be user-friendly ad characterized by an intuitive inter-phase. There must also be a database- driven tool. This tool allows the respective managers to update easily on contents without accessing the code (Baloglu & Pekcan, 2009). The administrators of contents of the web will be based on duties to monitor the access and the flow of work. In other words, the website must have the following features;
