Introduction
Currently, there are many desktop computer models being developed by different companies with different specifications and features. Some of the computer models include Dell, Asus, and IBM CITATION Del \l 1033 (Dell). The powerfulness of computers is usually determined by how fast its processor is, the size of the random access memory, and the hard disk storage capacity according to the computer experts CITATION Ely13 \l 1033 (Elyashev, 2013).
In this report, HP and Acer desktop computers are the two model being discussed whereby the specifications and features of the two computer models are compared to determine the best model between the two. Hewlett-Packard Company manufactures HP computers. The company develops and provides a broad variety of hardware components as well as soft wares related services to the consumers. The model has a solid unibody plastic construction, great sound output with B&O play and of light in weight. All the latest HP computer model being developed can be configured with up to 16 GB random access memory (RAM) and 2TB of the hard disk storage. The model may either have AMD’S 6th generation A-series or the Intel’s 5th generation Core i3, i5, or i7 processor. HP computer models usually have a model name positioned on the front of the desktop computer. For the current HP computer model, labels are fixed on either the sides, top or back of the case to identify the particular HP model quickly as shown in the fig below.
A Taiwanese company develops Acer computers under the name Multitouch currently known as Acer Company, based in Taiwan China. Acer, the desktop computers model, are of different models. Some of these models include Aspire Z1, Aspire Z3, Aspire U5, and Aspire X all using the latest version of Windows operating system, that is Windows 10, and they are touchscreen desktop computers. These models come with a DVD drive and 10-point multi-touch screens. They are also built with a panel that is 30 mm1 thin to deliver a user-friendly and a smooth computing experience. The fig below shows various Acer desktop computer models available in the market.

Acer desktop machine is ergonomic clutter free whereby they have an adjustable stand that allows one to chose the most comfortable way to view anything. The figure below shows how the positions can be adjusted.
HP Pavilion p6-2065uk is the latest desktop PC model developed by the HP Company. It runs the genuine windows seven home premium with 64-bit operating system. It is driven by a very dynamic 2nd generation Quad-core Intel coreTMi7-2600 processor. This modern PC has sufficient space of 1.5TB hard drive that allows the user to store all his/her multimedia files with no issues. This desktop computer also boasts an impressive 4GB random access memory (RAM).
HP Pavilion p6-2065uk Desktop PC tends to offer excellent connectivity as it has a 6-in-1 multi-card reader to ensure there is easy transferring of data. Also, it has 6 USB ports that make it simple to set up multi-peripheral devices at the same time. It also has an integrated wireless internet that enables one to connect any Wi-Fi source that is within the range, thus making connectivity far more manageable.
The model also has a built-in DVD writer that enables a person to watch movies and create disks as well as backing up one's multimedia data and files. It also offers clean design packed with storage, power and reliability for any daily activities that may be required to be performed as well as multimedia activities. For the accessories, HP Pavilion p6-2065uk Desktop PC comes with a power cable, HP manual, HP quick guide, wireless keyboard HP win7 media center remote control and a wireless optical mouse.
For Acer desktop computer model, Acer Aspire Z3-615 23 is one of the latest Acer models. This desktop computer comes having been pre-installed with Windows eight operating system. It also has Intel® Core™ i3 processor alongside supported by an RAM with a capacity of 6GB. For the storage, it has a hard drive of 1TB that can enough to provide space for documents, photos, and music.
When it comes to sound and color of Acer Aspire Z3-615 23, it has a 23 inches display with an IPS technology to ensure a clear view when watching. It also has a CineBoost Color Engine (ACCE) developed by Acer Company to enable one view vibrant images from every angle. The models also have a 3-watt front facing speakers to ensure production of high-quality sound.
For its connection, it has five USB ports to use counting the two Super speed USB 3.0 ports appropriate for transferring files that are large. The 3.0 USB has the capability of transferring files at a speed above 4GB per second. When it comes to connecting to a network, Acer Aspire Z3-615 23 is Wi-Fi enabled and has an Ethernet connections that can be achieved with the help of HDMI port.
When it comes to the comparative study of the HP and Acer computer model includes the following: one is that HP Pavilion p6-2065uk comes with Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system while for the Acer Aspire Z3-615 23", it comes with Windows eight 64-bit operating system. For the hard drive storage, HP model has a 1.5 TB while for the Acer model it has a hard disk with a capacity of 1.0 TB. For the random access memory (RAM), HP Computer has a 4 GB RAM while, for the Acer model, it has a random access memory with a capacity of 6GB. When it comes to the processor, Acer model has an Intel® Core™ i3 while, for the HP computer, it has an Intel® Core? I7-2600 (3.4 GHz, 8 MB L3 cache, Quad Core)
For the keyboard, HP computer comes with a wireless keyboard while, for the Acer machine, it is a touch screen thus keyboard is incorporated in the computer as one item. HP Pavilion p6-2065uk has 6 USB ports while Acer Aspire Z3-615 23" has 5 USB ports with two super ones.
In conclusion, the powerfulness of a computer is determined by the processing speed and power, storage capacity and, capabilities of the power graphics. According to my opinion, between Acer and HP computer model, I would prefer Acer desktop PC. This is because of some reasons. One of the reason is that Acer computer has a more powerful processor that is an Intel® Core? I7-2600 with 3.4 GHz, quad core, and 8MB l3 cache, as compared to Acer computer with Intel® Core? I3 processor. The other reason I would choose HP model is that it comes with a hard drive of storage of 1.5 TB as compared to Acer computer model with a hard drive storage of 1.0 TB.
