Work plan status
For the last two weeks, I have managed to interact and acquire more friends amongst the employees at the organization. The introduction to each employee I have encountered has been incorporated into a series of lessons from the employees. Most importantly, I encountered two teams from the company. They included the information technology infrastructure team and the information system and planning and projects team.
During the first week, I was introduced to the information technology infrastructure team. I got to know that the team has five sections. These include the network engineering, database and DCIM section, Data and storage, system engineers for windows and the system engineers for Linux sections. We learned numerous things during our interaction with these sections. For instance, we learned much about the storage systems that the company deals. For instance, we learned that they use four from Nexus 7000 or 7k that are switched for high availability.
We also learned about the three ways of storage topologies. They include Direct Attach Storage, Storage Area Network and Network Attach Storage. Further, I also learned about the two ways to protect backup processes, mirroring, and striping. Then, we were introduced to the information systems and planning and projects team. I learned that it handled controlling and managing the information technology budgets. That is made possible by the two sections that make it up including the performance and the ISP sections. Thus, managed to know how these two sections work. Other things that I learned include the two categories of budgets. They include the capital and operations budget. They are approximated to be 3000 dollars or more for each budget.
I also engaged in three particular tasks. First, I participated in the organization of computer-related documents with regards to the receipt date and user information. The second task was that of checking the laptops vis-à-vis their condition to work and the software required. The third task was a prerequisite of checking the laptops. We made statistical tables considering the serial numbers of these machines for easier sorting during the process of recycling or fixing.

Key Achievement
I elevated my interpersonal relationship capabilities after interacting with the professionals at the place of work. Thus, I learned how to embrace teamwork when working.
I encountered and understood the extent of the practical work affiliated with the information technology field with regards to computers and communication essentials. That includes acquiring an ability to diagnose laptops.
Problems and solutions for the two weeks
I faced challenges interacting with some non-interactive staff who had the responsibility of guiding me through some processes. For instance, I was initially reassigned to an employee who was not willing to guide us. Unfortunately, the reassignment was due to absentia of the employee who was considered best in guiding interns in the organization. Thus, there were examples of scenarios where our guide left us to attend personal issues making it hard for us to move to some of the departments were expected to visit. I presume that my communication and public relations abilities were way below expectations. However, I employed best levels of humility and understanding to cope. I also sought ways of ensuring that I work with such people even in the future.
