The use of technology has adversely increased over the years with the older generation use of the science increase. The divide in digital awareness still remains even as the older generation creates a positive attitude to technology. The increase in the use of computers including mobile phones and technology remains low amongst older generations. Studies indicate that by 2007, 1.7% internet users in Chinese were above the age of 60. The comparison of the same for individuals aged between 30 to 39 years is at 20.7 % while the bracket of those aged between 40-59 lies are at 13.9%. Understanding the analysis of the behavior of old age individuals with technology, analyzing the factors that influence the usage and acceptance of technology by the age group. The study analyses technology acceptance model (TAM) that provides a variety of the factors determining their usage and percentage (Barnard, Bradley, Hodgson, & Lloyd, 2013).

TAM works with the knowledge that acceptance of technology usage comes with the favorable reception and use of new technology devices. The level to which individuals accept technology concepts involves the attitude towards change. The theory works with the change in human behavior. Human beings find it difficult to change their surroundings. The same concept applies while dealing with older generations and technology. Technology comes with new concepts that older generations find difficult to embed into their normal lives. The education system that the older generation went through differing from that of the younger generation. They hence find it difficult to use new technology while the younger generation uses it with ease. Generation of the technological devices should consider these factors before rolling out new devices. New devices are introduced into the market in short durations, making some factors constant makes it easier for the older generations to adapt to the technology (Chen & Chan, 2011).
Methods
The study analyzed previous research on the acceptance of technology by older generations. The study concentrates on publications released since 2000 as it is the beginning of great technological change. Selecting the publications was aided by using various categories including those that presented the TAM and other related models. Research objects used in analyzing the study includes the research methodology, people and the subject. The presentation of the research was through the English language (Joseph & Suzman, 2010). The main electronic access databases used in accessing the information include the Scopus and Social Science Citation Index, which are the main search tools. The total number of publications used in the study was 20 papers. Many of the publications complied with the technologies models and the usage of technological devices. The number of technological approaches includes the mobile phone, internet, health and constructions. These were the main categories that helped the study formulate the use of technological devices amongst older generations (Conn, Tripp-Reimer, & Maas, 2003).
Results
