Ceramic refers to the nonmetallic and inorganic materials that are used in the creation of objects that have varied shapes, sizes, complexity, structure, material composition, detail, and cost. They are usually composed of ionic, covalent and occasionally metallic bonds. These objects can be created by heating processing or precipitation reactions at lower temperatures. Their usage depends on the treatment method used, which forms lightweight or dense products. Ceramics are essential in the daily life since they are available in watches, automobile engines, and airplanes. They may also be used as conductors of electricity or insulators. They are made by mixing various components, shaping the result into the required profile and then treating at low or high temperatures. Some of these ingredients include clay, water, powders and earthen elements.[“What Is a Ceramic ?” What Is a Ceramic ?, accessed February 4, 2019,http://depts.washington.edu/matseed/mse_resources/Webpage/Ceramics/ceramics.htm]
