Recently, I have been encountering controversial ideas concerning the kind of occupation I chose. Most relatives remind me of the changing times in the national context with reference to the liberties that individuals ought to priorities. Some of these arguments do not even have a chance to apply in my life and profession. I am currently acting as an analyst especially in the political, economic and social issues that are affecting the society. Therefore, it takes more than just the intellectual capacity I gathered in the school. It is about what I say and who it affects. Most of what I say through the media will have to be taken seriously. That means that I am putting my life in line of duty. One important thing about this chore is that at times, the codes of professionalism fail to apply where am supposed to analyze a serious political issues that related to significant and dangerous individuals. Therefore, there are several liberties that I live upon today.
The first liberty is the freedom of thought. The responsibility bestowed upon me is the greatest dependent of my seeking of this liberty. The liberty mainly features the freedom to speak from my ideas and not a source of coerces that force me to say or explain issues in a different version of the truth. Therefore, I have to express rationale and explain any remarks that I make from my point of view. The ideas that I either express in writing or orally in the programs I feature ought to be free from influence and irregularities from what I intended to give.["1893 World's Fair - History Fair Documentary." The liberty is imperative to me. It is the epicenter of my job description. The responsibility of being an analyst comes alongside with expressing one’s ideas. The same is required of me if I have to keep my job. Precisely, it is not possible for me to air any material that is not original and expect that the audience will appreciate the content or information. However, there are some external forces that might use force for me to change the content. Any moment I fall into such a misfortune, I end up losing a section of my audience. The point is that I have to air my version of the argument
The second liberty that I dwell upon is that of freedom of speech. I regard it as a prerequisite of the liberty of expression. The freedom speech applies in the context that every item or information that I am supposed to talk about after I write about it. There some prevalent issues taking place in the society. I am supposed to select the most sensitive issues associated with politics and scandals. My job is to make sure I investigate the cause of the issues and analyze them professionally.
This freedom is imperative. In fact, it is usually my responsibility to follow up on any threats that might be forthcoming and report it to the relevant authorities. Failure to have the freedom means that I will be facing serious repercussions of discussing and investigating issues that powerful men have done. In fact, there will not be any platform for me to perform the analysis and present the analysis. Therefore, both the freedom of speech and freedom of expression are jointly important to me especially within the scope of my occupation.
I also have the right to freedom from arbitrary detention. There have been many cases where individuals face detention out of obscure situations especially those defined by the job specifications. I prioritize the liberty from arbitrary detention. In most cases, attempts to the detention feature when a piece of information goes to the public against the wish of some perpetrators. Therefore, I believe that the liberty from such an occurrence will be vital for my job safety.
The liberty is imperative especially when elections are almost due. The media coverage is coming up with some of the most serious stories regarding candidates. My job as the analyst is to dig deeper into the already covered stories to find out what an individual has been doing. Some of the stories tend to touch the strong figures in the country. There is a high feasibility of them authorizing arbitrary detention if I air substantial information that can rule them out of the ballot box. The freedom is very beneficial because I feel very secure covering any story regardless of the subject person and his capacity in the government.
Relatively, I always seek the freedom defend myself. There are circumstances where arbitrary detention may come my way because of a story I analyzed and the person associated felt it be unfair. Such a person may take advantage of his or her financial potential to force me into jail. Since I commenced being an analyst and investigator of such serious and detrimental stories, I have been very vigilant and prepared to defend myself. Freedom to defend myself in critical incidences is what I have been enjoying since the year started. A lot of scenarios have emerged, and I have been forced to confess to some false accusatio...
