The global markets have experienced technological and structural dismantle of boundaries, and this has given rise to adverse barriers that favor competitive pressure for multinational enterprises (MNEs) in the attempt to produce blue ocean innovation in less time. At a multinational enterprise-level, leaders are expected to address boundaries associated with social identity between individuals with distinct values, histories, cultures and perspectives (Iammarino, McCann, and Ortega-Argilés, 2018). Addressing social identity boundaries has been a challenge; however, international organizations have realized the essentiality of normalizing global collaboration and subsidiaries that promote global offshore outsourcing. Comprehensive knowledge of boundary practice and boundary objects at MNEs level can be drawn from; a clear synthesis of boundary practices and boundary objects, and evaluation of the arguments of scholars on boundary spanning tactics.
