Operational objective
To be an effective and efficient restaurant that satisfies the needs of the customers by providing high quality products and services through working with highly qualified personnel within 6 months of operations.
Marketing objective
To attract a high number of clients from a diverse background by meeting their demands using the allocated resources within the first three months of operation.
Financial objective
To make reasonable profits that will sustain the restaurant by reducing the operational and labour costs throughout the lifecycle of the restaurant.
CSR objective
To feed the community members who are struggling to feed themselves by providing free meals to at least 20 community members per day by using the profits of the restaurant within the first three months of operations.
Satisfaction of the SMART criteria
SMART is an acronym that is used for the purposes of setting objectives that ensures the goals and objectives of the organization are met (Goldsmith, 2011). This has been used in setting the four objectives of Crown Community restaurant. All the objectives are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-bound. The use of SMART objectives was for the purposes of ensuring that the objectives are realistic and can meet the needs of the community as well as the restaurant. In terms of being specific, the question of who, why, where and which has been used. Measurable involves how much, how many as well as the quantity. In terms of the objectives being realistic, the question of whether the objective is worthwhile was used. The time required for accomplishing the goal is used in the analysis of the objectives. Time is an important factor in a CRS objective (Clapp & Rowlands, 2014).
Measurable Criteria
The success of the operational objective will be measured through the ability of the restaurant to satisfy the clients. This will mainly be based on the customer feedbac k with regard to the quality of services that they received from the staff members. A positive feedback from the customers will be an indication of success while a negative feedback will be an indication of failure. Attracting and meeting the demands of diverse customers will be an import measurement for the objectives. The success of this objective will be measured by the ability of attracting a high number of diverse customers. The success of the restaurant in attracting and meeting the demands of a high number of diverse customers will be an indication of success. However, its inability to attract a high number of diverse and customers and meeting their needs will be considered a failure.
