Interviewing Self-reflection
Self-reflection is key for any leadership. It is the basis for knowledge of strengths as well as weaknesses, values and behaviours displayed and how the leader endeavours to influence others. Self-reflection results in self-awareness. As a leader, I enhanced my strengths as I worked corporately with others since I observed that they have something that I lack. Emotional self-awareness enabled me to understand and appreciate different situations such as fear, anger and frustration which might impede performance, thus managing such situations.
Through leadership, I was able to influence other organization employees positively towards the realization of organizational goals. As a leader, I was assigned a project on managing rural savings and strengthening of a Financial Services Association (FSA) within my organization. I was able to raise the number of savings groups by one hundred within one year plus two hundred and fifty FSA members within the same period. This was possible because of the culture I helped establish integrity while at the workplace and believe that the success of the business is dependent on me. Being a strategic leader, coupled with my competences for the assignment, I was able to do much.
