The use of cell phones has kept increasing globally in fact numerous people utilizes such gadgets in their daily routine. The primary reason for the growth is that the cell phones have facilitated flexible communication between individuals within a shorter time. Currently, cell phones have diverse features such as cameras, music, video games, fm receivers that can take away the attention of the users. Ideally, the use of cell phones while driving is dangerous (Espejo, 2015 p. 21). Basing on observations, studies and experience the cell phone usage during driving distracts the attention of the driver since the driver is forced to operate the cell phone and the automobile simultaneously. Therefore, the use of cell phones reduces the performance of the driver on the road.
Cell phone usage has caused numerous road accidents. Notably, driver’s complete attention on the road is vital not only to oneself but also to other road users.
