If you were to ask my tutors and course mates to describe me, they would tell you that I am a hardworking and creative student. This is because of the strong personality and character that I possess. These qualities blend well with my passion for success both in academic and societal life. The force behind my hunger for success is to change the face of the society through my knowledge in accounting and financial management. This is a field I have cherished since my childhood. I worked hard throughout the lower ranks to attain quality grades so I could pursue a course in this area. My strong desire to succeed and to help others makes me a distinct character in the academic field.
My undergraduate course in Accounting and Financial Management at the Northeastern University has expounded my knowledge in the field of financial management. Most importantly, being the advancement of my analytical and research skill in this area. Over the course of the undergraduate program, I learned how to undertake financial analysis and predictions. My understanding of the course content is justified with my G.P.A score of 3.46. Apart from the grades scores, I am an individual of high self-esteem and who view challenges as motivation but not as obstacles. Furthermore, I am a great team player. I believe that no man can survive alone in this world. I practiced my teamwork skills at the undergraduate level through group projects and leading in class discussions. Therefore, I believe in providing efficient and effective financial management initiatives which can lead to the advancement of the banking sector.
However, to achieve this goal, I require advanced knowledge in the field, and that is why I am applying for a major in banking and financial services management. This is an area I firmly believe will expose me to more dynamic issues in the field of financial management. I want to expound on my undergraduate knowledge through this program. This is because the current market environment is very dynamic and changes occur at a very high speed. Therefore, acquiring advanced skills by undertaking this program will make me more equipped to handle the emerging changes. I am interested in learning more about how the current trends of globalization and technological advancement are affecting the banking sector and financial decision making. This is an area I focused on during my undergraduate studies, and I plan to carry on with it at the master’s level.
