For a long time, music has been used for different purposes in society. Songs are the greatest means to communicate to human souls. They are meant to entertain, educate, and console people of their losses. The paper discusses the song "Drive" By Alan Jackson. It pays attention to the writer of the lyrics, the purpose, significance, and the styles used by the artist to pass the message and achieve the song's objective.
Alan Jackson, an American country musician, released his song "Drive” (For Daddy Gene) in 2002. Jackson sang this gratifying song as an honor to his father, Eugene Jackson, who passed away in 2000. His lyrics are well arranged to memories the moments they had together with the father, and he later shared those memories with the daughters. Jackson wrote the song lyrics by himself to express his emotions of his father's memories to appreciate his contribution to his life.
