A friend once joked that back then; he would go to a supermarket with so little but come out with so much because there were no CCTV cameras all over the place. This might sound a big joke, but how true is it? Have you ever been to a supermarket, wanted to buy almost everything, yet your financial status cannot allow you to even to shop for the basics? What are you always tempted to do? Do you ever think of the consequences?
When I was in my early twenties, I, together with my friends, went window shopping in one of the leading retail shops. This was with a view of winding up the clock as we had no specific plan for the day. At that age, I still relied on my parents for everything as I was still schooling, and my ego and social standing could not allow me to do odd jobs for extra cash. I was at that age where you do things, not for you but to impress your peers. The peer pressure would force you to do things without thinking through (Steinberg 2008). You acted first then thought of the consequences when you are facing them.
