GREENING THE INTERNET
Greening the Internet involves all processes, procedures and methods that are geared to ensuring that the internet uses more renewable energy, less co2 emissions, and less power losses. Many online users and internet retailers are fully aware of the need to preserve energy in order to save planet earth from its imminent destruction. There are three primary methods through which this can be achieved, they include, optimizing linear programming of data centers to reduce energy consumption, investigating the energy saved by making use of data replication scheme and introducing renewable energy sources to the IP such as solar power and wind power.
Data can be replicated by ensuring that large operators have a broad range of data centers, replicating content with different popularity to minimize energy consumption and delays and developing an MILP model to optimize the selection of data centers. When all these three methods are combined 28 percent of power is saved which is one of the goals of greening the internet. Renewable energy can be introduced over WDM networks by comparing moving bits to where renewable energy is to transporting renewable energy to data centres. The renewable energy available to a date center depends on location and is a function of transmission losses. By running LP model with different data centers, it can be established that optimum data centers are near to or next to wind farms (Gupta & Singh, 2003, p.23).
Data compression can be used for energy savings by reducing the bandwidth. By using MILP model an average energy of 29% and 39% is saved. Storing optimum of most popular content at the nodes can significantly reduce the power consumed at a particular time.
MEDICAL ULTRASONICS
Ultrasonic makes use of a principle that a change in material density at a boundary between two materials signal causes a reflection that travels back towards the transducer. Ultrasound depends on the sensitivity, tissue penetration, and spatial resolution. Medical diagnostic applications and several other industrial applications make use of ultrasonics.in medical ultrasonic the heart is imaged and tested using ultrasonic rays. Unlike the common x-rays, it is a process of testing that has no side effects (Pflugrath, & Souquet, 97, p 298).
A drug loaded MB is injected into the vascular system, the ultrasound is focused at the target site; the MB is pushed against the endometrium for binding to take place, pores are opened by non-inertial cavitation, bubbles are destroyed to release load, high-frequency RF is applied to retain vesicles near target site.
Sonoporation is enhanced by increasing ...
